Kayaking in Casco Bay
I went kayaking in Casco Bay this morning. I launched from the Eastern Prom and paddled out to Fort Gorges. I then paddled around the fort and over to Bug Light before returning to the Eastern Prom. 🛶
Fort Gorges
It was a gorgeous if overcast day with a slight breeze and not a lot of boat traffic. I saw a few other kayakers and a few sailboats, but not much else besides the usual ferry traffic in the bay.
It’s nice to be able to store my boat right at the Eastern Promenade, which makes it super simple to just grab it and go for a paddle. I’m looking forward to doing this more often this summer. ☀️
You really should come with me. If you don’t have a boat, you can rent one from Portland Paddle adjacent to my rack.
